Errors / malformed_request

Request not well formed

HTTP 400invalid_requestmalformed_request

The request could not be read at all, for example a query string nested more deeply than the server allows.

What to do

Flatten the query string. Ordinary use never gets near the limit, so this usually means a generated URL has gone wrong. It is different from validation_failed, which means the request was read and a field was wrong.

What it looks like

{
  "error": {
    "type": "invalid_request",
    "code": "malformed_request",
    "message": "…",
    "doc_url": "https://docs.textmast.com/errors/malformed_request",
    "request_id": "req_01j8xk2p7n4qc3m9v0wz5bt6ay"
  }
}

Quote the request_id if you get in touch. It is on every response, including this one, and it turns a support email into a single log query rather than an archaeology exercise.
