Errors / assignee_not_on_team

Assignee is not on this team

HTTP 422invalid_requestassignee_not_on_team

You tried to assign a conversation to somebody who is not a member of this account.

What to do

Invite them first, then assign. This is refused rather than accepted because an assigned thread notifies its assignee alone — so an id belonging to nobody here would mean the conversation quietly notified no one, with nothing to say so.

What it looks like

{
  "error": {
    "type": "invalid_request",
    "code": "assignee_not_on_team",
    "message": "…",
    "doc_url": "https://docs.textmast.com/errors/assignee_not_on_team",
    "request_id": "req_01j8xk2p7n4qc3m9v0wz5bt6ay"
  }
}

Quote the request_id if you get in touch. It is on every response, including this one, and it turns a support email into a single log query rather than an archaeology exercise.
