Analytics credentials rejected
Google would not accept the Measurement ID and API secret you gave us.
What to do
The secret has to be created under the same data stream as the Measurement ID: in Google Analytics, Admin → Data Streams → your stream → Measurement Protocol API secrets. We check the pair with Google before saving, because their collection endpoint accepts anything silently — without the check you would appear connected while nothing arrived.
What it looks like
{
"error": {
"type": "invalid_request",
"code": "analytics_credentials_rejected",
"message": "…",
"doc_url": "https://docs.textmast.com/errors/analytics_credentials_rejected",
"request_id": "req_01j8xk2p7n4qc3m9v0wz5bt6ay"
}
}Quote the request_id if you get in touch. It is on every response, including this one, and it turns a support email into a single log query rather than an archaeology exercise.
